What is Selank?
Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide derived from the naturally occurring immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin.
What has it been studied for?
Small clinical studies have examined anxiety disorders and compared Selank-containing treatment with conventional anxiolytic therapy. Mechanistic work has also examined enkephalin metabolism.
How strong is the human evidence?
There is genuine published human research, but it is limited in size and geography and is not comparable with the evidence base for approved modern anxiety medicines.
